Kris Taylor, MSW, LCSW (she/her)


Kris is a cisgender heterosexual white female who is a passionate advocate for equity and reproductive rights. Kris has been a professional Social Worker since 2009, serving as an advocate in child welfare, leadership, and academia. She is a proud daughter, sister, aunt, and dog mom. Kris is a first generation college student and avid fan of all things Tar Heel. She is a Gemini, loves 90's r&b, and cherishes family and friendships above everything.

Michelle Vance, PhD, MSW (she/her)

Michelle is a cisgender heterosexual white female whose work centers around eliminating disparities to mental health care for marginalized groups. She is committed to empowering and strengthening communities by working within intersections of social justice, human rights, and anti-racism. Michelle is a Professor of Social Work and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She enjoys travelling, listening to live music and kayaking.

Meredith Burns (she/her)

Meredith is a cisgender heterosexual white female who spends her weekdays pushing corporate types to get more creative. As Assistant Director of Learning Solutions with The Hartford, Meredith is an experienced podcast producer and is thrilled to be a part of bringing Spark Sessions Podcast to life! Meredith enjoys lake life, running and hiking, and spending time with her husband and the best little Boston Terrier in the world, Charlotte. She & her husband Marc also own a real estate business in the Charlotte Metro area - and if you don’t find her in any of those places, you may see her on stage at one of the Queen City’s local theatre stages.
